The distinctive focus of our program—intervention, causal analysis, statistical sophistication—prepares graduates of the program to conduct research at the highest quality. Our graduates will be equipped with the tools necessary for work in the regional, national, and international development of educational reform, healthcare, and other areas.
PhD: 61 Credits
MS: 34 Credits
The doctoral degree requires a total of 61 credits (43 from coursework, 18 from the dissertation). Thirty-four of these credits can be earned through the MS program in prevention science. At the discretion of the graduate director, up to 1/3 the degree credits can be transferred from prior or concurrent study at another institution.
